I got to drive my car today for the first time in a year. Boy what a morning. Got to my brothers shop about 8:30 and he had the Chevelle ready for us. The guys had polished the car and it was shining. We got on the road headed toward the car show. At one point I was not sure where to go so I pulled into a parking lot, Grumpy was driving our van behind me, and Grumpy pulled in and we noticed that I was leaking. My day had just started and it was not going well.

My brother called Grumpy and was told about the leak, and he headed right out to where we where. In the meantime Grumpy figured out what the possible problem was and when my bro got there, the guys fixed it.

We were on our way again. Got to the car show and enjoyed our day. I ended up winning one of the door prizes, a folding chair from UPS. Headed back to my brothers shop to drop off the car, he still has little tweeks he wants to do.

We are home now and I am looking back at the day and thinking about how much I loved the way the car handled, the way it sounded, the fact that I finally have a radio, and the reactions that we got from everyone. I know that we did find a few imperfections, and we will get those corrected, but the car is beautiful to me. We even had a few body guys say they really liked the way the stripe looked. One older gentleman loved the way the seats looked and asked who did the work, and up walks my brother, and I introduced them.

So all in all, it was a great day for all of us. I love my Chevelle !!

I wouldn't trade that first ride for anything.

Yes you will! You'll trade it for the next one, then the next one and so on.
