First off this is not a car post. Been a tent camper for the last 25 years or so. The body just doesn't like the air bag and sleeping bag on the ground that well anymore. So I guess this is our first step up, RV in the future who knows?

It a 99 model, but the couple who had it barely used it and it was like brand new almost. Guess we will try it out next weekend. King size bed and a double bed plenty of room, heater, gas stove and frig. Almost like home. Not sure what the neighbors are going to say with 3 trailers in the driveway (Car trailer, utility trailer and now the tent trailer).

We had one for a few years when the kids were younger. Then we moved up to a travel trailer, then to a cottage. Pop-ups are cool, plenty of room and don't require a big tow vehicle.

That really has a king sized bed ? I did not know they made pop ups with beds that big.

I remember growing up with step-dad having one. You will like it.

Cool. The wife and I are looking at camper trailers and pop-ups a little. We're feeling like if the crap hits the fan this year, and a hurricane full of oil is headed o-ur way, we'll need to get out quick, and possibly be able to depend on nobody but ourselves and our own means for shelter. A trailer seems like a good idea.

Or he can set up in my back yard. If he's over to the northeast I wouldn't even see him. Probably wouldn't even notice if he tapped into one of the outside faucets or electrical outlets either.

Maybe I can get him to cut the grass while he's here!

It's about 2000 lbs.

I guess I better make sure that my 1980 model snapper 28" hi-vac rear engine mower is up for the chore. Looks like I'll be earning my refugee-keeps as a lawn maintenance tech. It has a 14 horse crate engine on it and does wheelies. Now how an I going to get that thing in a pop-up? :D


Seriously...I just may be knocking on one of your doors, if things get ugly down here later this summer. My wife and I are pretty nervous. If a hurricane heads this way packing crude, methane, toxins, etc, we could be in for a real doozie. I can just see lightning or electrical explosions starting a GIANT and uncontrollable fire everywhere. How do you extinguish a crude oil fire when everything is covered in it, and more is falling out of the sky?
