Rick,
Keep your chin up.
Last year I had to sell my 65 after taking a large paycut and a reduction in hours.
I did it to avoid Bankruptcy but it was just a bandaid on a breaking dam.
I still had to file and now that I was hoping to get back on my feet, my lender on a home equity loan is threatening to raise my interest rate. Never been late with a payment to them, just the fact that I filed for BK.
At least you still have your car and other stuff.
I also thought I would be able to buy another Chevelle this year and a friend has one that is all set up less engine for a killer price but if my interest goes up on my 2nd I won't have any $$$ to buy it with.
I have been without my passion for over a year now.
HotRodding is what I do (did) for enjoyment. I'm not married, don't have any kids, not a party hound, so the ONLY thing I had in my life that gave me reason to smile is gone and I have no idea when or how to get it back.
I would take a different job if I could find one, but those I have applied for I am competing with 4-500 other people many with high degrees in IT, computer programming, software development. system analysts etc.
When I got into computers I was 40 yrs old and am self taught so I cannot compete with these folks with BA's, PHD's etc.
Before computers I had a great job made a ton of money but gave it up to take care of my mother full time until she passed away in 98.
When I re-entered the job market I could not get a management job because of a 5 year lapse in employment even though my resume reflected the fact that the lapse was due to taking care of my mom.
So, take a deep breath and when you think you got it bad, come read my post. It should make you feel a LOT better.
