You'll lose more power spinning a TH400 than you will a TH350. You can definitely find a TH350 that will take the power you guys are making. If you can find a worthy shop, a rebuild and "beef up" are probably the best option.



If I ever have the $ for a transmission, I'm getting an overdrive. Either a 700R4 or a 2004R. Those both have lock-up features, and real nice first gears. The 700R4 requires a shortened driveshaft, but the 2004R doesn't, from what I've read, you only need to move the crossmember a few inches. Either one of them will set you back well over a grand with a converter though.
