I have spent the past 10 hours driving all over town, for one reason or another. I started out at about 10:30 this morning after we shoveled the driveway (my snowblower broke during the last snowstorm).
During the day I saw at least 5 cars buried in the snow on the side of the expressway, and when I say buried I mean it. One of the cars you could barely make out the color of the car there was so much snow on it. Many cars that had spun out. And the one I have to laugh at the most. Cars that attempted to turn onto side streets where the snow pile is as high as the front bumper of their car.
I am sure that I am not the only person who thinks that they have seen some of the stupidest people on the road.
Here are the rules that the drivers, here in Michigan, seem to live by.- When the sun is shining, it means go 5 miles faster than the posted speed limit.
- When it rains, it means go 10 miles faster than the posted speed limit.
- When it snows, it means to drive at least the posted speed limit, even in 10" of unplowed snow.
- And don't forget to drive where ever you want on the road cause there is no one else is on the road with you.
- Also, don't forget to turn into snow piled up by the snow plows cause you know your car will make it through it, especially if the snow is higher than your front bumper.
- Most important, remember to be on your cell phone while you are driving your Land Rover, cause everyone will get out of your way.
And I wonder....Why can't people drive in the snow ???
Sorry....just needed to vent !
