Well because of that, or so we think, an investigation was started at the bank. In the process, some how or another our credit cards, linked to this account, were reported stolen so they were cancelled.

So the story starts...
We were at a store and tried to use one of the credit cards and it was declined (just a little embarrassing), luckily I had cash. Anyway, we drove to the closest bank and was told that it was the magnetic strip on the back of the card that was trashed and that was the reason we were declined. So we ordered new cards. OK, problem solved.

Then about 15 min after we left the bank, David's phone rings and it is the bank telling us, no .. it was not the strip on the card, but that the card had been reported stolen that morning. We didn't report it stolen. What was going on ? We said, screw this and drove right to our bank branch. When we got there, no one could tell us exactly why our cards had been cancelled. And the girl who had originally talked to me about the counterfeit bill was on vacation that week. Could it get any better ? Of course it could. We were heading out on a road trip and didn't have a credit card, or access to an ATM for any cash.

We still don't know why so much stuff happened with our account. But we did get the 20 bucks back.
