Not a whole lot to post right now as the car is having a few problems fixed....

First the new goodies.

I replaced the entire interior with new panels & covers from Legendary and it turned out GREAT! Unfortunately I don't have any pictures yet but will try to get some. I still need to put the front door panels on as I didn't have any clips. New carpet from ACC & seats were installed by a guy I know from Marietta Auto Trim as a side job and they turned out excellent!! Very happy with the interior now. I also found some original rear side panel arm rests and painted them a color that very closely resembles the pearl white so I could finally replace the crappy aftermarket junk I put in after I got the car.

I installed a new Ausley's radio and replaced my Retrosound. No difference in sound, just looks more original which I liked. I also purchased the kick panels from OPGI with the Kenwood 6.5" speakers. I painted the entire panel & speaker grill with SEM black and you can barely tell they are even there, or they at least do not jump out at you when looking inside the car. Parking brake works and the install was simple. They don't sound wonderful but are much better than the crap I had in the dash.

Not my photo but rather of a guy I know in south GA with his Ausley radio installed.

Two other things that will be changing on the car when it comes back home.

I am replacing the (brand new) Hotchkis - Bilstein shocks with Double Adjustable Front & Rears. For the back I went with an AFCO Eliminator 3870R1 from Speedway Motors and on the front I opted for QA1 Stocker Star shocks from UMI Performance (couldn't find another D/A shock to fit through the lower control arm and was not going to cut my brand new tubular A-Arms)

These should help me get the power planted at the track and still maintain a quality ride when just cruising around town.

Now to the bad....

When I had the car at the speed shop and on the lift I noticed a couple small bubbles in the rear pass. quarter panel, just behind the rear wheel. Well the drag radials required rolling the quarter lip a little and when we did a nice crack developed through the paint, a bondo crack. I took the car to someone I know and does absolutely stunning cars to have it looked at and well.... The photos can tell the rest.... Pretty annoyed this was not fixed when I had my car stripped down not even 1 year ago. I briefly talked to Neil & Darrell and I don't know if there was a miscommunication or what but I would not have just left this if I had known. It is what it is, now I just have to pay to have it all stripped and cut out. It'll get there though and the guy who has the car now does some AMAZING work!!

Crack that developed

Next post for the aftermath.....
