Pretty sure that's what Tony meant. Pump the gas, close the choke and try to start it. If it's been sitting awhile and doesn't start right up, you may have to pump the gas again. The carb fuel bowls may be dry after sitting. Cranking it over will pump some gas into them. Don't pump it too much and flood the engine, it will take some time but you'll get use to it.
