The '64 frame stands won't allow the later model safety mounts to be used. The first car ripped 3 sets of stock mounts in a week and a half. This engine makes more power than the first car. I thought about urethane mounts, but the application for a '64 Chevelle is wrong, ...just like the Mr. Gasket solid mounts. The frame stands on my car are stock, but the applications for engine mounts are incorrect. The engine mounts that they say are for my car are all too short and I can't get the through bolts in. The mounts I made fit perfectly.
