The answer is NO. The seat is wider on '68-'69's than on '70-'72's. On '70-'72's the seat is narrower because of the side armrests being moulded into one piece that goes all the way down to the car's floor, and the seat backs have a spacer on each side to make them the same width as the bottom seat. By comparison, the seats on '68-'69's go all the way to the "door panel" (which is more flat) with a smaller armrest which is screwed through the panel, in the same manner as the armrests on the front doors and to make it more complicated- the BOP cars 68-69 had interior options that gave them the possibility of a wider OR a narrower rear seat... and the narrower rear seat was still wider than the convertible rear seats, which were the narrowest. No sure on a 4 door.
