It really pisses her off because she is getting to point where her mother needs to be watched all the time and my wife has been always keeping her company for her whole life while now she's been diagnosed with Alzheimer's some have stepped up to the plate more than others and slept with her overnight.

Jay my heart goes out to you. My mom may not have Alzheimer's but I see her slipping away a little bit every time I see her.
Found out yesterday that mom had her furnace, dehumidifier, some duct work and ac unit replaced. My brother did some research for her and found out that furnace was over 20yrs old, AC unit was too small for her condo and was probably overworked. And after talking to a heating a cooling friend, mom got a pretty good deal from a reputable company. Sigh of relief, but then again, mom didn't need this bill. Sister still is not looking for a car.
