Does anyone have a good link for county codes? I found a great site for old Florida tags, but am having trouble finding anything for North Carolina. My car came from Hickory, NC. I want to buy a 1972 NC tag and stick it on the front. I purchased a mint 1972 Florida tag today. It has the correct prefixes for the county I live in and the vehicle weight/type. (8W) Here in FL we are allowed to use an old tag as our primary tag after approval by the state.
I am hoping to do the same for my father when he gets his 66' GTO this weekend. I already found him a 72' Florida tag for his 72' Lemans Sport.
