Trying to stay busy with little projects. Picked up a fan clutch last week, cleaned and painted the fan, and assembled the unit mid week.)
Started to take apart my distributor for cleaning over the weekend. Didn't want to come apart very easy, despite being a low mile take off and shelved for 40+ years. I let it sit a few days with some penetrating oil on the internals. Today, cleaned it all up. Then installed a Moroso recurve kit, and a Petronix III. The built in rev limiter is preset at 5500, should be a good starting point. Factory rating for peak power was at 4000 RPM. When this thing finally hits the rollers, we'll see if the improvements and tweaks moved the power curve any.
(And yes, I assembled the distributor at the kitchen table. It's hot out in the garage.)
