I am with you on this mostly. Certain small breeds just cannot live outdoors. (my ex had Pugs) Her male was always good indoors. The female, I got her as a 10 week old puppy, was an uphill battle for several months. But, that made me happy - because it got her to shut up and stop talking to me about marriage and children.
That little dog ruined her world and made her cry daily. It was worth every penny to teach her a lesson. (That she was nowhere near ready to be a mother)
