Just got off the phone with the nurse. I am as shocked as she is that he is still living. Still on the morphine drip and atavan. Hasn't eaten in 3 or 4 days. She said he has opened his eyes a couple of times, but is unresponsive to her talking. When she came in at 7 last night, they told her he would be gone by this morning. He is a fighter, but I don't understand why he is still hanging on. It was his choice to go on the morphine drip as opposed to another round of the ventilator.
Kathy's mom is going in at 2 this afternoon for a pacemaker. She was supposed to start therapy today, but I guess not. She will come stay with us when she gets out.
