Existing front drum spindles can easily modified to convert to a disc brake setup without even removing them from the vehicle.
Buy caliper brackets, dust/splash shields, and large bracket bolts from any Chevelle parts vendor or Ebay.
Then, just buy stock replacement disc brake components from your local auto parts store...discs brakes were available from the factory on '72 Chevelles so use that as a counter person guide.
Saves on shipping $$$.
As mentioned, rear discs on an everyday cruiser are not necessary.
