Door gap is handled. I sanded the fresh primer there this morning before going to work at mom's all day.
I got to 2000 pad wet sand the door and fender. Takes what 10 minutes. But it is completely ready now. I have scrutinized it. Redone things. Re-primed it sanded and worked on it some more. Last time Charlie Anal looked at it he didn't say a word grumbled and left. I wet it down and moved the spotlight around and looked for waves.
I got to go re-stock up on some things monday I believe is the day. 100 more miles of masking tape. I sure burn that stuff up. Gallon of reducer, Another gallon of clear. I burn that up alot to. Side stuff dent fixes for freinds etc etc. I need pinstripe tape for the stripes. I got a gallon and a half of laquer thinner for gun cleaning so i going to get another gallon of that. I think I done with the 5 gallon cans for a while. I just want some extra when I am done. I gonna do my buddies motorcycle when this is done this winter.
So all that aside now I got to scrub the basement and get all this dust i carefully got in every nook and cranny down there. Clean the car real good under it every where get all the dust gone. I got light fixtures and spotlights to mount. Heavy plastic to make a paint booth with.
Car is ready now i switch gears to get the garage ready for the car.
For the pics or it didn't happen portion of the program. Here is the offending seam. It primered here before it was sanded. But it is sanded and ready now. In the curved part it was getting wider than the rest of the seams on the car. I was rounding the corners and it looked good before i did it. Then it was a Greek Tragedy. Yes i actually went and measured them all with calipers and made sure they were all the same.
Except the side seams of the hood. I just aligned it centered at the nosepiece and went with it. Needs the room because the chevelles hood hinges are a wild affair even when right closing. But it closes with out hitting any where. I screwed with those hinges a month it seems like getting that mess working right.
