Looks like will just be me and Henry. Annie, our dog is on her last legs. She's 14 and has CCD, Canine Cognitive Dysfunction, if she were human they would call it dementia. Many of the same symptoms, confusion, 'Sun Downers', wandering around at nite, banging into things, etc. We have her on several drugs that help but boarding doesn't seem fair to her in her current state.
That and Lynda really can't walk around the park or into town without being miserable so she's decided to stay home with Annie. Our daughter is coming here near the end of September, we'll let her see Annie one more time then probably let her go. It's a tough decision but it's not fair to the dog if she's constantly confused and anxious. Wish she could speak so you would have a clue what's going on in her head. As it is all you can do is guess and then try to decide what's best for her.
