My Windows desktop computer detected the virus yesterday morning...running AVG subscribed version.
I shut the computer down and rebooted into a full depth virus scan. That took almost 4 hours to complete in which that time it successfully detected and killed the gremlin.
During that scan time, I freely surfed TC and other sites using my LINUX based Dell netbook.
No down time...
