It really does. I have never been a runner, hated it actually. I started doing it, gritted my teeth for a few weeks of running and have come to really enjoy it now. One of the biggest things I have found is good running shoes, without them running is a nightmare.

Its funny, basically running and cycling use most of the same muscles, but uses them in diffrent ways and builds them up better. The running seems to push me harder aerobically, which is great, my ability to climb hills or power down long straights has gone up very well. My legs are plenty strong to do what I have tod do, but my lungs and heart are the weak points, the running is taking care of that problem for me as well.

I still weight train every other day as well, but my bigger focus these days is on building aerobic capacity and pushing my lactic threshold back as far as possible.
