Default What do you set your thermostat at ?

With the colder weather coming our way, I'm curious what you folks keep house temps at, during the winter.

For us its at 65 right now. Once the really cold weather sets in I'll change it to about 68. Our house is really drafty.

I keep the house and the garage at 74. If i get to working hard in the shop, I'll turn it down. That doesn't happen too often anymore though.

We keep ours at 69 deg., although if it were up to my wife, it would be a LOT higher.

We keep ours at 68 when we are up and it goes down to 64 at night and when we are at work. The programable thermostat is the way to go.

About 74 here. Even before we had the baby. If your house leaks air at "x" rate, what does it matter if your furnace keeps the temp at 63 or 73? Just to maintain?

I love the programable thermostat. It helped reduces our heating and cooling bills. Like others, we have it turned down at night and just before we get out of bed it kicks it up a few degrees.

grandsport, 60 degrees? I like it cold, but even my fingers would start turning blue.
