Default I celebrated

I celebrated something in my life which is positive.I quit smoking 7 years ago and it was hard at first. No regrets and I did for my health including for a neice and nephew of mine.I have a niece that has asthma and a nephew that is very allergic to cigarette smoke.Did it with my husband too.Plus my doctor has been on me for it and he is glad I did it.It has encouraged my father and and sister Bobbi to quit last year too whom have not touched a cigarette ever since.I have saved money too and it goes to something else.

Congrats on quitting ,I know it must have been tough .A co-worker several years ago wanted to quit smoking after smoking for 40 years ,since he was 12 .He tried the patches ,pills, gum ,nothing worked for him .Everything made him irritable or feel bad but one day he came to work with 2 cartons of cigs and a bunch of lighters and gave it all to another co-worker and said I quit. That was 3 years ago and he hasnt smoked another since ,and he says he feels better .But he has just been diagnosed with cancer and waiting to see what his treatment options are .

Thanks and I am proud to be an ex smoker. It was very hard to do this at first.I have been keeping it up and it was getting very expensive.I went through 2 packs a day.The day I quit,I threw my remaining packs in a fire pit and burned them.At the same time,my husband decided to quit too and threw the last pack he had in his shirt pocket in the fire pit too.Told me wanted to do this with me and we supported each other which helped out a lot.Even got rid of each ash tray in our home.
