ok guys and gals i finally got my raise in effect so i have some extra cash and i want to get a set of headers. I have $160 bucks to spend so i was looking at the following
help me pick one and tell me why i have a lot to learn here i am thinking this one http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PTE-H8024/ they are 1 7/8 and its patriots i know there heads from my ls1 so i guess i trust them..lol and they are natrual steel so it will not peel then i saw these http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HOK-2455HKR/ bigger but they are painted so they will peel after a while right? and these http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BIG-11130FLT/ painted but to small right? i know i know http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G9010/ summit brand but they are made by dynomax..lol so which ones would you get?

All of those are painted or plain steel so not much difference there. I've had a set of the Dynomax, ceramic coated, that I got from Summit about 6 yrs ago. They've held up good and fit great, no dinging or bending to install them.
Can't say much about the rest, haven't used any. |

I cant offer anything as I dont have headers on any of mine .I took a set off my old 72 Chevy truck as I could not keep them tight .

I have a set of Doug Thorley ceramic coated headers on our Camaro, don't know if they make anything for a Chevelle or not but if they do that's what I would buy. I've been very happy with them and they dress up an engine compartment nice.
