Request for old used cell phones from NOCC

I copied this from an e-mail that I received today from the NOCC. Please help if you can.

I received an interesting phone call today. Blaine called and made a request that I think we can all get behind.
Let me start with the reason. Chevrolet/GM has a program that will make a big impact to our troops overseas. As it stands now, when a soldier gets a chance to make a call home from overseas they are looking at paying $7 a minute.
Chevy and GM are asking for your old cell phones and in return they are turning the used cell phone's into a 1 hour phone card. That's 1 hour for each cell phone!
Blaine has put out a request to everyone he knows in the effort to collect 500 used cell phones by September 10th . He is heading up a show then and wants to deliver the phones at that time.
If you have any used cell phones that you can spare, please bring them to our next meeting or to our show. You can also turn them in at Don Sitt's dealership
Be sure to check with friends and family members. Lets try to greatly exceed the 500 mark and make a difference to those who are fighting for our freedom.

I got that same e mail .Although I dont have any extras I plan to buy some at garage sales saturday if I spot any.
