Default Great Weekend with family help.

Had lots of family come to our aide this last weekend to give a hand on the beach house after Barbs fall last weeknd. My son got my nephew, brother inlaw and a friend to come down and give a hand for a roof tear off party on Saturday. They all came with their wives who also worked hard to complete the project. Took off three layers of roofing and put new plywood down and built over hangs on the large peaks to help keep the rain out. Roofer starts tomorrow. Had a big barbecue to feed everyone. Also took out the old chimmy and took two car trailer loads of roofing to the recycle center. With all the help I figure it put me a month ahead of schedule this year. Should be ready for winter this year when it gets here.

Default Another hard working weekend

I know all of you have a car to talk about, but I have been working lately on my wife's passion. Her dream is to able give this house some day to our kids, since it was her grand parents house originally. Just like I would like to give my son my Chevelle, Spent 3 long days working on the house with my son's help. Almost have it ready to complete a roof project. What a lot of work. The first picture is what the back looked like over a year ago.

Default Front of house

Few more pic's of the front and roof on the back. Still have siding to go, but that may be next years project at this point. Budget is gone for this year. Instead of a car restoration I'm helping her do a house restoration.

Wow! That was a lot of work in a very short amount of time. It looks great! Hotrods are cool, but you need a place to keep them, too. The Chevelle will get done in time.
