Default Still too hot here...

...so we're getting back in the big ole rollin turd and going up to Oscoda on Wednesday. Supposed to be around 80 there into next week. My uncle owns a lot in a private park and he's not using it. It's right at the mouth of the Ausable River where it goes into Lake Huron. River behind you, beach on the other side.

Went to Baker's today with Ray, we were probably there less than an hour. Too hot, no cars, the parking lot was only half full and almost no one up on the grass. What a year this has been.

I'm sure Maureen has the air on sub-zero degrees. Have you worn your sweat shirt out yet ?

Pretty warm and humid here today. I drove the kids down to just inside the Indiana border to go camping with grumpy's brother. They are staying at a Yogi Bear campground that has a pool, a playground and a water park. They rent golf carts to get around and have a store on the property.

I remember camping when I was a kid and it was not like this !

That sounds perfect, hope that's what we have in Oscoda. At least if it gets too hot we can always go in the lake. Lake Huron never get's very warm, it's not like Lake Superior but still stays pretty cool.

I heard we have some thunderstorms moving in for the next few days. Then a bit of a cool off for a few days. The cool off will mean that we will hit a high 70's day. I want the 60's back.

Its been absolutely miserable down here with the heat and killer humidity .I was soaked with sweat just going to the garden and picking a couple of baskets of tomatoes .Our tomato vines are just about dried up and done ,they usually last til first frost.

flash, I think that most of the crops are not producing that much this year. I have not really seen that much of a decrease in the price of fresh produce, like we usually see in the summer. I know that the gas crunch has something to do with it, but the weather does more.

We are waiting on the wind and the thunderstorms here today.
