Default Am i pushing my luck??????????

I may have "gone over the line".

I have been married for 30+ years and my better half has always put up with my compulsion to buy ANOTHER project while I still have a half done project underway .... that is how the Chevelle came about. The sedan delivery was at about the halfway point and I ran across the chevelle for a price that I couldnt resist. I stored tyhe chevelle and continued working on the SDL.

My plan is to acquire a wrecked camaro donor with a LS motor and swap it into the Chevele, give "Year One" all my credit cards and redo the whole thing ... simple right? And the finished car would become my wife's driver.

..... welp here is the problem .... I just bought another project, 1935 Dodge pickup, cherry body, froze engine, a perfect candidate for a 392 Hemi that I got a line on.... yee-haw! And ..... (pregnant pause)..... I sorta want to put the Chevelle on the back burner and go ballz-out on the Dodge but, dang, the wife has been so darn patient and understanding ......... "oh lord grant me the strength to do the right thing"!!

It would be pushing my luck at my house. Can't answer for your wife. I can only handle one car project at a time. Good luck with this one.

i can tell you this my wife would be PISSED! she let me get the chevelle only if i sold one of my toys. so basically she had me replace a toy with a toy. i had two motorcycles and my rx7. so i put the rx7 up for sale and my r1 up for sale i told her which ever sells first is what i will use to buy my chevelle. needless to say my r1 sold quicker..lol i toy with the idea of buying another bike and she shut me down fast! i hope you do the right thing man!

I know that would get me in hot water around here. My wife loves cars too. I sold a C-3 Corvette and a '67 Impala last year. Those were "her" toys. I have to sell my Nova to replace one of them. I'm keeping the 'Vette and the Chevelle. I can only put Tiff off for so long before I have to get her a toy to drive.

Having more than one toy is like having more than one woman in your life. Sure it's fun for a while, but after that it's too much work. LOL

NOPE>>>>>>>

Finish the wife's car. Give her, her own car to focus on and then she won't care how many projects you have going on in the garage. But remember...take care of hers first, especially if she has been waiting a long time. Think of it this way. Everytime that you "push her car to the back burner", she is thinking that you are doing the same to her.
