This cold has kicked my butt !

I am sorry that I haven't been around much this past week. But my kids gave grumpy this cold from hell and then he gave it to me. The beginning of the week I didn't even want to get out of bed, and I didn't on Monday. Tuesday was like I had a 100 lb weight sitting on my head.

Wednesday and Thursday were just the start of a hacking cough, and to top it off it was Parent Teacher Conferences at the kids school. Needless to say, I didn't go. I couldn't imagine sitting in a gymnasium with 100 other parents waiting to talk to 12 different teacher (2 kids with 6 teachers). I would have either sneezed all over them, or gotten more people sick. So I figured it was better that I stayed home.

Friday was the Halloween Parade at my youngest school. So we got up at 6:15am to get her dressed as Katie Perry. Cute as she was it was still hard to get showered and up to the school at 9am to watch the parade. But I did, cause I had to take pictures.

So here we are today. I am feeling better, just a cough from hell. I am not congested, really. But my ribs hurt from coughing.

In the coming weeks we have to finish up contract negotiations to finalize a date for AKfest 2012. For those of you that don't know, the largest site that grumpy and I own is called Audiokarma.org., AK for short. Every year we rent out a few floors at the Sheraton in Novi and invite people from all over the world to come out and enjoy music. We sell rooms for people to set up their own systems as well as vendors to come in and set up rooms to show off their products. Anyway it is getting down to the wire to finish this up...so I have to get rid of this dang cold.

Sorry you're not feeling good Nancy. This is the time year that stuff starts floating around. Kids in school just makes it worse, I don't get colds or flu since are kids are grown. Tough dragging your butt around when you don't feel good. I know, been dragging my busted butt around for close to 3 months, wears you down. At least I don't have younger kids to deal with, being unemployed helps too. Feel better.

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. I think I got the say stuff a week ago. Got rid of the cold part but the hacking coughing goes on. I spent 3 days in bed with it and finally went back to work on thursday and friday. coughing is not as deep, but I still have a spell here and there, especially at night. 10 days so far for me.

So here I am working on still trying to get rid of this dang cough. Now we have grumpy, me and 2 of the kids with the cough. Man the pharmacies are making a killing off of us with cough medicine, cough drops, and what ever else we think might help. It is just aweful going out in public with this cough. People look at you like you are going to kill them. And you never know what is going to set off a coughing fit. Usually it is the lady that bathed in her perfume, or the dry heat in the car, either way I just want this cough GONE.

Over two weeks for me, feel just fine but the cough goes on and on and on. Just like the energizer bunny. Hope you get well soon.
