well I was talking to a friend of mine as i was working on my wiring and he told me man dont even bother running the oil pressure and coolant sensor wires take those off and just run gauges. So it had me thinking what do you guys do/have? do you guys just run the lights and call it a day or do you have the gauges to monitor those things? I know i can run both for the coolant but i dont think i can run both for the oil pressure correct?

Gauges for sure, the gauges that were add to my sweep dash was Tach, voltz, oil press., and water temp. Would much rather monitor these than rely on and idiot light.
Someday I will probably finish the SS clone that the previous owner started by changing to an SS dash. Gary |

Shaun,
I have a 72, not a 69 like you're building, so I'm not the one to ask about a tach in a 69, but you may find it in the below link. As you can see, the standard SS gauges did not include a tach, but was an option like you said. Not to mislead you about my gauges, they're not SS gauges, I have two mounted to the column, and two under the dash. I plan to replace with SS gauges in the future. http://chevellestuff.net/faq/gauges.htm Gary |
