They both look like very nice cars, although I wonder why no pictures were taken underneath the first car.
What kind of answer were looking for? The first car was re-wired and some of the wires and connectors are incorrect. The battery cables are incorrect, it has gear clamps on the bypass hose instead of tower clamps. ....but I'm nit picking. It looks like a beautiful car to me. The second car has some shady stuff done like the fake battery top to make a modern side post battery look "period correct". The other thing was the LS6 comment. I thought the heavy hitter was the LS7. ...but I'm getting old and my memory ain't what it used to be. The price is absolutely insane on it too. It's just not worth more than a house with acreage to me. Sorry. I guess I've owned too many of these cars to see that kind of value in them.

Same VIN with the first one having a 396 and the second one have a 454 LS6. Is it magic? or did the factory screw up and put the same VIN number on two different cars? lol

I've confronted this guy before an all he's said is this is the way he bought it but he's full of crap. He must have faked out all the docs he has too. I believe I still have those pictures. Now he's selling the parts from the ls6 on eBay and I bet it won't be to long until we see a 396 car with this vin on eBay. There's a 12 page post about this on team chevelle. Btw I believe his name is Mick Dush.

How did I miss that?! They are definitely two different cars. I wonder which one is stolen?

Ok, I just spent entirely too long comparing cars. It looks like it's the same car. The grease pencil mark under the engine harness holder on the firewall appears to be the same mark. The front clip is assembled the same way with the same hardware. The 454 has an air injection system and the 396 does not. One is a 4 speed and one is not. I believe it was a 396 car until someone wanted an LS6 4 speed car and did a nice job creating one. Now 125K seems WAY too much to for a fake LS6.

This is so wild. But I am sure that it is not as uncommon as we think.

Lots of fakes out there. Good catches everyone. Just shows you buyer beware.
