Default Cloned Chevelle Z-16 Story

Here is an interesting story on why not to clone a car.

I would have thought the penalty would have been tougher than what he got.

I wish there were more consequences for that guy. He deserves them

...and that's why I use words like, "Tribute" and, "clone" when selling a car that looks like something it's not.

....like my '77 Nova SS Baldwin Motion "Tribute". There were no SS's OR Motion cars in '77, but it sure is a good looking, fun car to drive. ...and that's all that it is supposed to be.

I'll say that cloning an SS Chevelle in '64 or '65 is a pain in the rear. Putting all the holes for the side molding in the car in the correct place in the correct shape is no easy task. Also, filling the holes for the wider Malibu trim, so no evidence is showing, is harder yet.

I'm not sure what this guy was thinking when he stamped out the vin tag. Any 3rd grader can tell the difference there. Then to defend your position after an expert tears your car apart, well, he got what was coming to him.

This guy was dumber than most, and was just hoping to find a buyer as dumb as he is.

I just couldn't believe that he got off as easy as he did.

Looks like it did. It has the L coded tag which all Baltimore SS cars have.
