Default Close call

I was heading home after a great evening in my car, with my son. I was driving in my subdivision (speed limit 25) when a small car, with plenty of room, crossed the road in front of me. I was just cruising along, smiling and laughing with my son, I didn't even have to take my foot off of the gas cause there was plenty of room. When all of a sudden the Cadillac Escalade, which was behind the small car, just shot from the stop sign right in front of me. By the way, did I say that I had the right of way, she had the stop sign.

What is it that people say "Most accidents happen withing 1 mile of your home".

My son screamed as I slammed on the brakes. And then she stopped right in front of me. How I didn't t-bone the Escalade is a miracle. Then she starts waving her hands and screaming at me. WHAT ? Stupid Driver. I am so thankful that we put the brakes we did and the brake booster on my car for stupid people like this. I am also thankful that no one was hurt.

Sorry guys, my turn to rant.

Man I hate stupid drivers like that ms. Grumpy. They really need to go back to driving school. If I was in my Audi I'd be a lil frustrated but if I was in my chevelle I would be pissed and furious and I might take the police baton out that I keep under the bench seat and knock some sense into them. Haha lol.

Were you driving the chevelle when it happened?

Yes we were on our way home from a great night cruising. It was still light outside, it was about 8:30pm. I think that I am more upset now, then I was then. But it was a really, really close call.

Thank you Shaun. I think we all know that everytime we get behind the wheel of our Chevelles, that we have to be so much more cautious. Because many people have no idea what it takes to stop these machines.

I'm also glad you were not in an accident. People can be jerks out there. That's my one fear when I get mine back on the road, I don't get hit by some idiot.

Glad there was no accident and you guys are okay. Funny how people do stupid things then yell at the other driver.

Unfortunately there's an "I own the road and can do no wrong!" attitude out there.

I was just talking about this yesterday with someone. If I'm driving the '64 and someone hits me, they should hope that they killed me, because if I get out, they are going to die a slow, painful death.

I'm glad you're all ok.
