Default So far this year sucks.

My cousin Tom's wife passed away last night. First my mom, then our dear friend Veronica and now Cindy.

I'm not sure but Cindy was either 57 or 58. Tom, his brother Ed and I were more like brothers than cousins. We grew up 4 blocks from each other, went through school together, hunting trips, vacations, skiing trips.

I knew she had cancer, Tom told me when I called him about my mother dieing. He hadn't told his brother Ed or his younger brother Gary, only his parents. Don't know why he didn't tell them but it seems that's when you need your family and friends.

I talked to my aunt today and what she described sounded just like Veronica. The cancer kept spreading, in the spine, brain, etc. Like Veronica she lost her site, couldn't walk.

Anyway, hope this year gets better because this really sucks.

Hank, I am so sorry. Sometimes life doesn't seem fair. My mom always told me things happen in three's. I am praying that life gets better for you my friend.

Sad day today, Cindy's funeral. I was wrong, Cindy was 55, would have been 56 on July 4th. I thought she was only 1 or 2 years younger than Tom. Their 35th wedding anniversary would have been yesterday.
