Default Oh boy, get to have a root canal!

Started with a sore gum last Thursday. You know how it feels when you get a piece of popcorn shell under the gum, like that. Friday Lynda and I went to Milford Memories Days. By the time we got home it was time to call the dentist. The pain was getting worse and the side of my face was swelling. She prescribed some antibiotics, better on Saturday and even better Sunday. Saw the dentist today, took some x-rays and I need a root canal.

Crap! Trying to get the Chevelle back together, windshield and rear window going in on Wednesday. Trying to get the soffit material installed on the bottom of the upstairs deck. Have to box in the posts on the deck, don't have time for this shit.

The root canal isn't that big a deal. It just seems when you have a lot of other stuff going on some crap like this happens. Oh well, shouldn't complain, not like I'm going to die from this, it's just an inconvenience.

On the plus side, she did prescribe vicodin. They always make things seem better, at least for a little while.

Hank,
Sounds like you have an infection that has to clear up before the root canal. Do you have it scheduled ?

I have had root canals in the past and for me, the worst part was not being able to talk. I actually have gone back to work after having one done. The pain meds are great, but not conducive with getting much work done.

Been on antibiotics since Friday, it's pretty much cleared up. Going Thursday morning.

Expensive, this will eat up my dental insurance for the year and more. Tooth has a cap and dentist said the root is curved. She wanted me do see a specialist, $$$$

Did you get any nice jewelry Ric? Seems like every other booth/tent was selling cheap jewelry that some woman cranked out in her basement, yawn.

Ouch! Think I'll go with the root canal. It doesn't hurt any more. They'll numb the heck out of it so a little discomfort but not too bad. Worst part is waiting for the novocaine to wear off.

Well that's over with. Not bad, still numb right now. Don't know what it will feel like later when the novacaine wears off.
