Default Sciatic nerve being a pain!!

Hey Guys,
I'm having problems with the sciatic nerve in my right leg giving me fits.I can walk fine with little or no pain, However I can't sit for very long before the pain sets in.
I've been going to a chriroprator, but its nots helping. I'm seeing my doc. today.
Hopefully I will get relief with some good meds.
Has anyone else had this problem? What was done to relieve the pain?

I have that type of leg pain while sitting ,especially driving on long trips . I have not yet been to the doctor to be diagnosed but I do know it is very painful. Best of luck to you and keep us posted if you find some relief.

I have had this very same problem over the years due to a car accident. What I found is I need to control my weight with regular exercise and it kept the pain to a minimum.

Thanks Guys,
I went to see the doc. today. She told me if all goes well, I should be back to 100% in the next two weeks.(crossing my fingers) I was given an non inflamatory and some pain meds. Hopefully I'll beable to sit down without the pain.

Brian, I'm recoverying from the same thing. Pain deep in the butt, comes up to the front of the leg and down to my chin. Can't sit my favorite chair for too long. Keep moving from one chair to the next. Found that ice and heat treatmernts work the best along with chiropactor. Never thought I'd go to one, but the pain was bad enough I'd try anything. Wish you well.
