Default Did you ever notice a crow eating road kill?

When they are waiting for a car to pass,it looks like they are embarassed to be seen eating. They like turn their back and hold their head down. Has anyone else picked up on this?

yep I have; one year the crow didn't move fast enough and I ended up hitting him on the A piller of my truck. Lucky he missed the window.

Easy...fool them. Lay on the ground and pretend you're road kill.

There was this giant buzzard pecking its nasty face into the guts of some carcass on a gravel road back some time ago. I was approaching it, and waiting for it to at least hop away so I could pass. It got scary when the vulture didn't move. I pelted it with my little ranger pickup, and had no choice. It was kind of trying to spread its wings, and that's when I got him.

Oh, and then the buzzards & crows came and ate him a good week or two later.
