Default Weight loss challenge, anybody else want to join me?

So I have always been in pretty decent shape. Well that is until I quit smoking which I put about 40 pounds on after that, which wasnt all bad because I was probably too thin before that. While smoking I was 6 ft tall and weighed on average of 160 pounds. Over the years I put on a few more still.

So that brings me to last March. I weighed in at 218 pounds and I was a bit disappointed in that to say the least. So I started an intense diet and excercise program, and dropped my weight to 183 pounds and was well on my way to being in excellent physical shape. I had a 4 pack going in the abs and the 6 pack was just starting to come through. It took me 3 months to do this.

Then in May I had a head on car crash and could no longer workout and the disappointment led to me eating like crap again and here I sit again, on Monday I weighed 218 pounds again. So I am back to my intense diet, and working out. Today I am at 214 pounds.

Anybody else want to join me and we will keep everyone each other to get ourselves in shape? We have enough time to do this before summer gets here, and makes the winter go by much better.

I desperately need to get back to healthier eating habits, as well as my morning and afternoon walks.

Now your gonna make me get on a scale.

Sure I will join in. I need the support and motivation. But I still ain't giving up my last vice, smoking

I want in on this...

I need to check with my specialist to see if I can start exercising yet.

As much as I like it, I should quit smoking, too, even though I've tried before and failed.

I'm about 5'-11", and weight about 210, I've put on a few pounds over the last few years...prolly started gaining weight with the depression that set in after my father died. I was an athlete in my former life.

For me my diet consists of very high protein very low carbs. I try to take in between 1500 and 1800 calories a day, and be under 100 carbs for the day. It isnt easy let me tell ya. Yesterday I managed to get by with under 50 carbs for the day.

My breakfast everyday consists of 6 eggs, well 6 egg whites and one yolk for color and flavor (dont need the cholesteral that goes with 6 egg yolks), 4 ounces of turkey ham diced up and cooked right into the eggs and 4 slices of turkey bacon. This will yield me 376 calories, 11 carbs, and 48 protein, a great start to the day.

I eat lots of lean red meat, lean pork and fish as well. Pack the meal with green veggies and none starchy fruits throughout the day and it all adds up to massive weight loss.

If you guys are intrested, this is a website that will really help you. You can input everything you eat during the day and it will tell you exactly what it contains, and it is not easy to find a food that isnt already listed. Try it: www.myfitnesspal.com If you really want to see some scarey stuff, try putting in a few of your favorite fast food burgers and such and see just how bad they really are. For example, a McDonalds Big Mac meal medium size with a Dr Pepper will gain you 1130 calories, 151 carbs, 48 grams of fat and only only 29 protein!!!!

This website is truely how I can lose the weight as fast as I can, it works, give it a shot.

Hell, I might as well work in this too. I changed a few habits a coupe years ago and lost about 15 lbs. This holiday season I put almost all of that back on, I think. My pants are tight again. The coolest thing about losing the weight I did, other than my clothes fitting better, is that my doctor never gave me the stinky eye when he checked my blood pressure and my knees felt A LOT BETTER.

The one thing that made the most impact in my eating habbits were 1- not eating until I was about to explode and 2- I cut my sugar intake consiberably. I'm guessing in half.

I've been eating healthier this winter in an effort to simply not put any more on... I had been putting on 15 every winter and taking off 10 every summer for the past few years.

During the summer, I'm active enough to eat anything and everything in sight... winter, not so much.

I eat healthy and exercise everyday but the weight just doesnt come off anymore. Several years ago I lost 105 pounds by eating the same healthy foods I enjoy today and the same daily exercise routines . I am very active all the time ,but nothing is working this time . I am more stressed these days due to the extra workload and filling in for my boss who has been out for several months plus the fact that my job may be outsourced soon so that may be part of my problem. I wish you all and myself lots of luck.

I am in. But not posting my weight. Let's just say that I need to lose more than a few.
