Default took the wife for her first ride

So i have been married for a while and my step daughter and daughter both ride in my chevelle often. Well my truck is in the shop and my wife was letting her mother borrow our highlander and kids so me and the wife got in the chevelle and decided to go get some lunch. Well i drive like an old man in the company truck and like a older man when im in my f250 due to the 4.40 diesel prices. So im just driving like i usually do enjoying the drive to our local in an out and as i turn left on the freeway on ramp my wife looks at me and says you know this is the first time i have ever ridden in this car. And i thought about it, the car was down when we were dating and it was non opt for the first 2 years of our marriage and i couldn't believe it but she was right. And as were sitting at the on ramp light she makes the comment isn't this thing suppose to be kinda fast and i say sometimes and she replies i guess you waisted all that money then if your gonna drive like a old man. The light turned green, the skinny pedal hit the floor and my wife freaked. Smoked em and fished around till third at about 70 then just cruised home. Once the car was parked in the drive way she jumped out and continued to "talk at me" or yelling as some call it. Well, now according to her the kids are not allowed to ride in the car and she will never get back in it. Lol she asked for it

That's great, she'll get use to it, or maybe not. My Chevelle get's a little sideways now and then. The wife reaches over and smacks my arm and says "Why do you do that?" I just look at her and say "Because I can!"

BB...please don't take offense to this....but what the hell is wrong with that woman. Sounds like you guys had a blast, or at least you did. I do totally agree, she did ask for it. Maybe give her some time to let it sink in. Pretty soon she will be telling someone about how her first ride in your car you "smoked the tires". I think she is still in shock.

Just curious how old you are, cause many of us grew up riding in these cars. And we survived. In 1973 my mom bought a new Javelin, and she loved to "light 'em up" with us in the car. I survived and I loved it !

Good story.

"Granny", my MIL gave me the speech when U went to pick up the kids from her yesterday in my Chevelle. I wanted to light them up right there in her driveway.
