Thumbs up I taught my daughter well!

So,I get a call from Lindsay when I was at the auction yesterday and it started out with "don't be mad,Dad it wasn't my fault"She was coming home for the weekend and while doing 65 on the parkway a tractor trailor in front of her blew a tire. She immediately looked to her left and saw a car beside her,so she without panic just let the tire hit her. I always told her if an animal or object comes out in front of you never swerve unless you are100% sure there are no other cars around, just let it hit you. Just a little proud of her driving abilities. Btw,the bumper is in primer in my garage, ready for paint tomorrow.

Glad she stayed calm and nothing serious happened. Those black road alligators can do some damage.

Good job Lindsay. Way to stay cool.
Tane had one skin up the right side of her front facia on her Camaro Thursday.
Those things scare the hell out of me, specially when I'm on the bike.

Happy to hear she is OK Gary. Even Happier to hear that no one else was hurt.

I remember years ago, in the early 80's, when a dog ran out in front of my mother. She was driving a Grand Marquis, and that thing was a boat. The dog ran right into the front bumper on the passenger side and was knocked to the ground and then got up and limped away. We tried to find it, but never did. My mother agonized over that dog for months. To this day we still talk about it.

So I am glad that Lindsay has a good head on her shoulders and is OK. Hasn't this girl been thru enough already ?

So how is Lindsay doing since the accident. We all know that some of the aches and pains don't show up til later because of all the adrenaline at the time of the accident.

It wasn't that bad Nancy. The tire blew apart and a giant piece hit her.She is pretty lucky though as she should not be driving this soon after her surgery.Anyways the bumper is repaired and painted, while I had the car I got new inspections on it,changed the oil and filter, got 2 new tires on it and completely detailed it and filled it up with gas.All this for a case of Coors Light.I think it was a good deal for both of us.We still get enjoyment out of spoiling her,but she appreciates it,not expect it.

I am glad to hear that all is turning out well. And it is every moment we spent with/doing things for our children, is a moment that they remember. She is lucky to have parents like you.
