You won't have to change a thing. Everything is the same, the frame mounts & the engine mounts. Just bolt it in.

When you say a small block are we talking about a 307 or a 350?

The inside width (where the bolt goes through) on a 307 engine mount (not frame mount) is 2 5/8" ,while the 350/396/454 is 2 3/8".
While the 307 engine mount will fit over the 350/396/454 frame mount the opposite will not . The 307 engine mount is shorter than the 350/396/454 mount also.

Wonder why they did that? My father's 72' is a factory 307 car. The 454 went right in.

You can use either style, just have to match the frame mount to the engine mount. Don't mix one type frame mount and with the other type engine mount.

Pull the engine mounts from the 350 and install them on the 454. Unless you want new mounts, then take the 350 mounts to the parts store and get a new set that match.
