Default What up gear heads.

Hi everybody.Just joined and havent been able to check everything out yet.My first car was a 64 elcamino with 454 turbo 400 and 12 bolt posi when I was 17 and have been a chevelle guy ever since.Curently working on a 64 convertable ss that I traded a 65 elcamino for from a friend who bought the convertable from the guy I sold my first 64 to over 20 years ago.Small world. It was a pile of parts with the body mounted to the frame when I got it.I threw it together and installed the sb 400 that was int my 65.He didnt get the engin in the trade but I gave him a 383 I had laying around.I drove it for about 2 years and started the frame off resto about 8 years ago.Im hoping to get it back on the road soon. Here is some pics.

Its got a sb 400 30 over 2 bolt converted to 4 bolt splayed caps.350 rods fluid dampner and roller cam and rockers.Top end is Edelbrock performer rpm heads and pro flow fuel injection system.Trans is 700r4 I rebuilt with all Tci parts.Rear is 12 bolt with 308s.Springs and trailing arms are Edelbrock. No shocks or sway bars yet.Staring to see light at the end of the tunnel.

Welcome to the site, man!!!

That is a fine looking little project you have there. Nice combo too.

I should say, I'm a bit jealous that you have small block strokers just laying around to call "spare".

It was my first engin build for a 71 when I was 19.Had a lot of hard miles on it but still strong.

Welcome Zombie,
Very nice looking project. Good luck on getting it back on the road soon. I sure after 8 years you are ready to take a spin in it soon. Keep us posted on your progress.
