I thought I would start this thread to see what we are all doing to store our cars for the winter and we all may learn something new to help us.
I plan on the following; 1. Fogging the motor with fogging agent. 2. Sta-Bil in the gas tank. 3. Disconnect the battery 4. Moisture control in the interior (I think its called Dissident <sp>) 5. Tires off the ground 6. Car cover with all the old blankets that I have. I've been doing this for 10 years now and never had a issue in the spring. I can't wait till spring next year all ready.

It a oil based product that you spray into the carb as it is running and it lubes all the internals for the long winter. It's a product that I buy at the marine store and is used for boats. I do my lawn mower as well. It's a lot like taking out the spark plugs and squirting oil on the piston then rotating to lube the bores....but much easier. http://www.syntheticoilnlubes.com/en...gging_oil.html The car does smoke a little at first as it works its way out of the system when you start it up in spring.

I shut off the engine and take the key out. Put the cover on and maybe hook up a battery tender. I've been doing this for 6 years and never had a problem in the spring.

I leave the key in it and have not lost the key in the last 10 years.

Here's my list
1. turn off car 2. disconnect battery 3. jack up and remove wheels (place race rubber in heated storage) 4. remove front clip 5. remove engine and transmission 6. remove interior 7. remove gas tank 8. lose pieces 9. spend money 10. sit on couch being lazy all winter 11. rush to put the car back together in spring 12. tell self "it's still not fast enough" while planning next year's upgrades
