I am looking for help with paint decision. I want a bright red like the car on the top of the page. Anyone know what they call that color? Is that a 72 ? Thats basicly the color Im looking for.

I found this site when I was looking for the paint codes for my dad's Chevelle. It has the bright red in there. If you want something else I also know a guy who did his Camaro in Torch Red (C5 corvette colour). http://www.chevellestuff.com/1971/paint.htm

Chevelle above is a 71, most were painted Canberry Red. Looks like I got beat to your question.

I thought Cranberry Red was a 70 color but would look great on any year Chevelle.

They had Cranberry red in '70 too. They held it over for a year. (it was very popular)
