Default 4l80e or t56?

well i didnt know where to put this thread so i put it in trans well i am asking for opinions here. which would you do? 4L80E trans (which i already have in the garage). or a t56? I have NEVER had a car that i have built be an auto and for some reason i am feeling like it needs to be a manual trans but i am stuck. The pros is i already have the trans the cons is my car is setup for manual which means i need to mod the tunnel for it right? the cons is i need to buy an auto shifter with the console, plus buy the shifter kit so it can match my 4 speed auto trans. t56 pros well 6 gears! can take a beating (i know because i have one in my rx7) has 2 over drives which is good for my 4.10 rear gears. cons i need to get a hydrolic setup and i have to cut the trans tunnel for the monster to fit in its place. so which would you guys pick?

That's easy Shawn... A muscle car needs 3 pedals and the parking brake doesn't count.

You'll get more enjoyment out of the T56.

Either one would be a good choice. Really comes down to whether you want a stick or not. I really like having a 4 sp in mine but some people prefer an auto, which one do you want?

If you're not a girl, elderly, handicapped, or a drag racer there is no reason for automatic transmissions to exist.
