Default 11 yr old is accident prone

I thought I lost my "accident prone" child when my oldest daughter Jennifer (27 yrs old) moved out. But with the youngest 3 it seems that my daughter Leah is even more accident prone than her oldest sister.

Just a little history on Leah who is 11 yrs old. At 3 yrs old she was at the park and got hit in the face with a tire swing and knocked out her two front teeth. When she was 10 she was in a sledding accident and fractured a bone. When she was 11 another fractured bone. OK these may not sound like much, but she has been to the ER at least once a year for some type of injury. Leah is a bundle of energy.

Well, last Friday night I took the 3 kids to Laser Tag. They played 3 games and everything was fine, at least I thought so, until.... Leah comes walking out, crying and holding a bag of ice to her face. I figured she probably got hit in the face and will have a fat lip. OH NO... she chipped a tooth ! She was coming around the corner one way, another kid was coming around the corner at her, and she ran right into his battery pack. And the battery pack won. So no ER. Now I have to find a dentist to repair the damage. At least it wasn't broken down to the nerve so she has been able to eat, but still. Really ?????

Sorry to hear that Ms. Grumpy. Maybe a football helmet and a padded suit is in order. J/K

Went to the dentist early today and he took a look at her tooth. I was told that she needed a root canal because the break was really, really close to the nerve. So I went back at 3:30pm today and he did the root canal and gave her a "tooth". I am going to get her a mouth guard for her to wear when she plays sports. She will probably have to have this tooth replaced once she is done growing. For now, she is home with two front teeth. YEAH !!!
