Something interesting
A few of you know I have a hotrod shop and my shop truck is a very faithful '79 Ford 4x4 named Alice. Lately, I have run into total strangers that know the truck. Apparently, with all she gets around, she's developed a sort of "fanbase" (for want of a better term) So I decided to put up her own Facebook page so everyone can keep up with her.
I recently got back from a 1,000+ mile trip with her where she hauled a 360 AMC engine, an engine hoist and a set of ramps in the bed, and pulling a trailer with an AMC Eagle station wagon loaded down with parts. This doesn't sound very fantastic until you realize a bad fuel pump wiped out all the bearings in the bottom end about 8 months ago and she keeps chugging along with 2 quarts of Lucas and 5 quarts of 20W50 in the crank case. This truck has never let me down and has been my faithful side kick for two years now. I know this is a Chevy site, but the old girl has saved my butt more than a few times. Alan, first off that is great story. Second, I always wanted this site to be a place where anyone is welcome, no matter what they drive. It just so happened that we chose "Chevelleforums" as it's name.
So I will be checking out your trucks facebook page. I really love the idea.

John, you and Joan should get a facebook page. You could post some of the pics from all of your trips. Besides, you could be my friend. lol....on facebook too. Heck if you don't want to use your name, you could call it "Vert".
