From a link on another chevelle based website.
I just recently was able to buy the car Ive always wanted,a 67 Malibu. Its a plain jane,283 powerglide car.62,000 miles and mostly all original. The p-p.o. had put a gm ss hood on it,and those bullet mirrors on it before a repaint circa 1977.Ill be switching the mirrors out,and starting the rebuild process soon I hope. And Ive also learned the pleated dashpad wasn't stock, lol.Switching that out too. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Glad you found us. That's a nice looking car, I have a 70 but I'm a big fan of the 67's too, just don't have the room or money for more than one. Yes, that dash needs to go.

That is very similar to the first chevelle I fell in love with as a 15 year old kid except the one I had a chance to buy was a 4 speed SS car for $500 . My mom would not let me buy it even though I had the cash and I never did let her forget it.

Any bodywork that lasts 36 years is NOT questionable. The factory paint and metal didn't last TEN years if it was redone in '77! You have a really nice car there. Sell the dash on Ebay. There's guys out there that would kill to have that. I'm looking forward to the build.

Welcome. Looks like you have a great place to start. I hope you post pics as you go along. It is always nice to see how the car has been preserved, especially with the low miles. And to see the progress as you go along. Can't wait to see and hear more.
