Default Going nuts

Been to dang busy to get a chance to work on the Chevelle. Between work and trying to get house projects finish here before summer is gone I have been way too busy. Just finished painting the shed, the fence is power washed and started the primering on it. Been working til dark. I need to get some help, this is just getting to be to much. That doesn't even included the problems at the other house. Not enough of me to go around. I need to find a college kid who wants to earn some school money or someone else. I'm tired, All I wanted to do this summer is get my car going, I have had to move my older sister in with us and my wife is taking care of her so her time is all tied up. Her health has gone bad and her son managed to take all her money from her a little at a time, so she now has a house she can't pay for on her income. He manage to get over $200,000 out of her over the last 7 years and left her broke, and the money he got is gone. I'd like to hang him up by his toes. I just needed to vent before I loose it.

Ray,
Vent away. It definately sounds like you need to find help. Sometimes talking to your neighbors and friends is the best way to find a college kid to help you. I know that it has helped us in the past.

I have never been in the situation of taking in a family member who is sick. But I have seen friends who have, and it cannot be easy. I hope that you find the help you need.

Best wishes,
Nancy

You definitely need to slow down Ray, you've got too many irons in the fire. You want it all done and you want it done now. Unless you find a helper you need to adjust your expectations to it'll get done when it get's done. It's nice to have a restored Chevelle and a nice beach house but not at the expense of your health and state of mind. Take a day off, put your feet up and sip a few beers or your favorite beverage.

Ray,that really sucks about your sister but you must be commended for stepping up and taking care of her.As you know,I got stressed about my situation, but at the end of the day things always work out.Working around the house is a good stress reliever and it sounds as in my case also, that it is a little more important than the car. Give the Chevelle a rest so you don't screw things up,and finish up the outside work!

Ray, you just need to take a break from all that work and catch your breath. It will all be there when you get back to it.

Well I got a answer to prayer, got a call from our pastor's son looking for some work for two weeks before he heads off to college. Where he was working let him go because he only had a short time left. Guess, what he will be doing for me the next two weeks. I'm going to let him paint the fence and other odd jobs that need to get done. Feeling better already. Thanks everyone.

Ray:

Glad it worked out for you. Talked with a friend this weekend who is stressed out dealing with his mother, who's health is failing, 12 hour workdays, and taking care of two houses. We got together Saturday night and had fun just sitting around talking, eating, and drinking a few beers. He needed some downtime and I think this helped him immensly. You need to back up sometimes and give yourself a break. BTDT.
