Fired up my 1987 Monte Carlo

I fired up my 1987 Monte Carlo drag car tonight,one of my personal "toys".It was the first time and I was excited.It runs great with a 434 small small block with new upgrades.Upgraded the suspension and went to EFI in place of the carb set up.My friend Denny even came over and installed a couple Chevy bowtie decals with flames coming out on both quarter panels.I like taking it down the track,relieves my stress and running in a limited street car class this year ran at a good friend of mine's drag strip he came up with.I do this with my husband Robby and we have fun.He has a 1970 Chevelle with a built up 572.Plus my father is my crew chief,we commuticate very well.I drive it down and tell him what is going on each pass.I am glad it runs good and hopefully test it in a couple weeks.

It is a fun ride and been into drag racing since I was 16.The block for the 434 is not a stock block,it is a Dart block and I was told by my engine builder the the stock 400 block will not hold up.I call this one lucky monte.
