Detroit Lions suspended defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh called 911 after he was involved in a single-car accident early Saturday morning in his native Portland,Ore.

Suh, who is suspended for one more game, was driving his 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS in Portland’s nightclub district around 1:15 a.m. when he lost control of his muscle car near Ankeny Street and 4th Avenue and hit a tree, a light pole and a drinking fountain, according to police.

Shortly before police arrived, Suh called 911 and spoke with an operator. Suh is polite and calm during the call and declines medical attention for himself and his two unnamed passengers. He also is heard flagging down a nearby police officer while he’s still on the line with the 911 operator.

Suh, 24, served the first of his two-game suspension Sunday. He will miss this Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings and will return to the Lions on Dec. 12.
Here is the entire transcript of Suh’s call, which was provided by the Portland Police Bureau.

Operator: “911.”

Suh: “Yes, I just got into an accident off of Ankeny and 4th. “

Operator: “Do you need an ambulance?”

Suh: “No, I don’t think so. I think everybody’s fine.”

Operator: “We have other calls about this. Hold on a second here.”

Suh: “OK.”

Operator: “We have reports it’s a car into a tree. Is that you?”

Suh: “Yes.”

Operator: “OK, are you sure you don’t need an ambulance?”

Suh: “Yes, everybody’s fine.”

Operator: “OK, and were you in the car that hit the tree?”

Suh: “I’m the driver, I’m the driver, I’m the driver.”

Operator: “I’ll let them know you’re refusing emergency — excuse me, medics. Hold on just a second.”

Suh: “Officer! Officer! Officer!”

Operator: “He’s looking for you. I’ll let him know you’re at 4th and Ankeny. What’s your name?”

Suh: “Suh is the last name: S-U-H. (To officer) How you doing? I slipped off the (indiscernible) when I was coming out. (To operator) Say that again.”

Operator: “Just your first name and your phone number, sir.”

Suh: “N-D-A-M-U-K-O-N-G.”

Operator: “Thank you. What’s the phone number for you, please?”

Suh: (Withheld).

Operator: “Thank you very much, sir.”

Suh: “Thank you.”

OMG, one less Red 70 SS454 out there now...He had ruined the car just by putting those rims on it.

But, glad he is ok, he is a big part of the Detroit Lions recovery.

I'm not a fan of the rims either.

And did you see the game on Sunday ? I was so disgusted with the Lions. I did like the comments from one of the players..."F@$#ing Grow Up". I just wanted to reach thru my TV and smack the players. Like the penalty for throwing the ball at one of the Saints, give me a break, you know thats wrong. I could go on and on. I just want the Lions to get back on track. My brother in law is a Bears fan, so knowing that both teams are in contention, makes things very interesting at my house.

My guess a little to much power for him or the tires might had something to do with it. I agree I don't like the look with the rims and tires

Reports are now he was driving recklessly and a woman needed five stitches in her face from the accident. He claimed he went around a taxi to the police.

The guy was an accident waiting to happen. He's out of control and no one is stepping in to control him. There was a news story this morning that 2 women with him were injured and they were told to leave before the cops got there.

btw-the lions are going no where with schwartz at the helm, he's as undisciplined as Suh, and the team is showing it. They are not contenders, they are pretenders.
